The full-time social worker motivates residents to participate in one or more of the active aging activities to enhance their intellectual, physical and social well-being.
Activities include bingo, exercises, singalong and various religious activities. She is also available to the residents and families for support and counselling.
Residents can spoil themselves with treats or buy much needed toiletries from the tuckshop. A hairdresser comes in three times a week. Many residents take a daily stroll outside to keep active and fit and enjoy our beautiful gardens.
Spending time with our elderly loved ones is very important. Families are encouraged welcome to arrange special events eg. birthday celebration at Herfsland for those who cannot travel.
It is important that our residents stay in contact with their families, even if they are abroad. A video call service is available for any family member who cannot visit their loved one in person.
